Overview

The Edelweiss' location is just outside the centre of Zell am See - great for a stroll around the town - and just a snowball's throw from the lakeside.

Having been converted from apartments, all rooms are modern and comfortable and there's a small basement wellness area with Finnish sauna, steam room and a free juice and tea bar in the relaxation room.

Offered on a bed and breakfast basis allowing you to explore the local cafes and restaurants.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.

About Zell am See

Gentle slopes and excellent ski schools make Zell am See a favourite for families and beginners, with pretty tree-lined runs and wide pistes overlooking the lake. Intermediates and advanced skiers can head to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, as well as explore the linked Ski Circus area for even more variety.

The town has a postcard-perfect setting, with frescoed buildings around a cobbled centre and a lakeside promenade facing the Hohe Tauern mountains. You’ll find plenty of cafés, shops and bars, from lively après-ski spots to relaxed pubs. Accommodation ranges from high-end hotels to welcoming family-run stays, all offering a friendly, personal feel.

Off the slopes, there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Try the alpine coaster in nearby Kaprun, watch an ice hockey match, or enjoy a more relaxed afternoon tea overlooking the lake.
