Overview

Bristling with Alpine charm and glistening like a pearl within the village of Corvara, Hotel La Perla is rightly named. The hotel is member of Leading Hotels of the World and claims to focus on “what it doesn’t offer rather than what it does” – a nod to the value of simplicity and style over unnecessary substance, and a glistening service standard including a fine dining experience, making it a hotel with one of the best reputations in the valley. Each of the 54 rooms in the hotel has been carefully designed and furnished to make them as unique and impressive as each other. The craftsmanship almost comes to life and the individual touches of pine, rugs, throws and subtle ornaments add a wonderfully homely touch.
The basement spa is a grotto of calm with its small heated relaxation pool and wellness area offering massages and treatments. There’s a Turkish hammam and sauna too. If you’d rather keep your modesty covered, relax in one of the various lounges complete with fireplace or take in a wine tasting in the hotel’s own, huge wine cellar.

Breakfast buffet– A delicious, large, varied hot and cold breakfast buffet welcomes you each morning. A range of Alpine standards all lovingly prepared in the hotel’s kitchen as well as eggs and bacon-inspired options cooked to order.

Four course dinnet at The hotel’s Michelin Star reataurant Stua de Michil is a unique bistro, redesigned in an original 17th Century style with wonderfully aged wood panels, delicate lighting, ornate tableware, and of course an astonishingly delicious menu.

About Corvara

One of the best-connected resorts in the world’s largest ski area, Corvara sits at the heart of a 1,220km network of pistes. Lifts radiate from the village in every direction, making it easy to explore the wider Alta Badia area and beyond. Stick to the local slopes for relaxed blues and reds, or head further afield to Val di Fassa for varied terrain and Arabba for more challenging runs. The Sella Ronda circuit is also within easy reach, with access to both clockwise and anti-clockwise routes via nearby lifts.

Corvara itself is a traditional Dolomite village, with chalet-style buildings arranged around a central piazza. Half-board hotels are the standard, offering friendly service and high-quality food that makes it easy to settle in and feel at home. Evenings are typically low-key, with much of the social scene centred around hotel bars and lounges, perfect for a glass of local wine after a day on the mountain.
