Overview

The Landhaus Bauer is a small and welcoming annexe of the Hotel Bauer, giving you the best of both worlds. Tucked away on a quiet side street right in the centre of Saalbach, it’s perfectly placed for enjoying the resort’s lively après-ski scene, while offering a peaceful spot to retreat to at the end of the day. The lifts are just a couple of minutes away, so you can be on the mountain and making your first turns in no time.

Rooms have a cosy Austrian country-house style, creating a warm and homely atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in after a day on the slopes. You can also make use of the facilities at the Hotel Bauer, including its swimming pool, while the friendly Gegenhuber-Kraschowetz family are always close at hand to make you feel welcome.

When it’s time to eat, evening meals are served at the Hotel Bauer, with classic Austrian dishes on the menu. Back at the Landhaus, you can enjoy a drink and soak up the friendly après atmosphere, making this a great choice if you want a traditional Austrian stay with everything Saalbach has to offer right on your doorstep.

About Saalbach

With 270km of interconnected slopes on its doorstep, Saalbach is a fantastic base for skiers looking to explore one of Austria's largest ski areas. The varied terrain caters to all abilities, from easily accessible nursery areas and gentle, tree-lined blue runs to steeper north-facing pistes for more experienced skiers. If you're keen to cover even more ground, a connecting gondola provides seamless access to the neighbouring Zell am See–Kaprun ski area, opening up even more terrain to discover.

Nestled in the picturesque Glemm Valley, Saalbach has all the charm of a classic Austrian village. Traditional timber buildings line the streets around the distinctive onion-domed church, while a river winds through the lively pedestrianised centre. Après-ski is a big part of the resort's appeal, with slopeside bars providing the perfect place for a celebratory drink after a day on the mountain. The fun continues well into the evening too, with a vibrant nightlife scene that includes bustling bars, live music venues and nightclubs that stay open into the early hours.
