Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
NB: The austrian twin bed in the small twin room is 160cm wide which is smaller than standard.

NB: When you arrive in Bad Hofgastein, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the door of the Salzburgerhof Hotel. Instead, you’ll be dropped off at a central location in resort. From here, a smaller vehicle will pick you up and drive you the rest of the way through the pretty streets to your hotel.

About Bad Hofgastein
The Gasteinertal area offers around 198km of mainly intermediate-friendly skiing, with a mix of tree-lined trails and wide, sunny bowls. A funicular from town provides easy access to the mountains, where highlights include the long 10.5km red run from the Hohe Scharte, one of the longest in the Alps.
The valley towns, including Bad Hofgastein, have a relaxed, traditional atmosphere with cobbled centres, painted façades, and a more low-key après-ski scene focused on cafés and quiet bars. Accommodation is largely made up of well-regarded half-board hotels, often with strong wellness facilities.
Bad Hofgastein is especially known for its thermal spa culture, with the Alpentherme Gastein offering saunas, pools, and relaxation spaces that define the après-ski experience. For those wanting more activity off the slopes, snowshoeing trails and ice climbing on frozen waterfalls provide alternative winter adventures.
