Overview
Hotel Alpina combines fresh, modern décor with excellent facilities and a welcoming, local team, creating an easy-going yet high-quality ski holiday base. Positioned right on the slopes overlooking the village, it offers ski-in, ski-out access, while a private hotel shuttle quickly takes beginners to the nursery slopes.
After a day on the mountain, the lounge is a relaxed spot for a cocktail, or you can head straight to the wellness area to unwind. Facilities include a swimming pool, a selection of saunas and professional massage treatments designed to ease tired ski legs.
Families are well catered for, with two playrooms filled with games and toys, plus a programme of entertainment including live music, magic shows and a hotel-run kids’ club.
Dining is a highlight throughout the day. Breakfast features a generous buffet with hot and cold options, including eggs, bacon, pastries and cereals, with a glass of sparkling wine on Sundays. Afternoon tea offers coffee and cake, while evenings bring fine dining with regional specialities made from locally sourced ingredients.

Alpina Annex Rooms
Type S2 Austrian Twin -sleeps 2- 28m² and have a bath or shower and a balcony.
Type S5 Austrian Twin -sleeps 2-4- 45m² . These rooms have a bath, double sofa bed when booked for four and also have a lounge area.
Type S6 Single Room -sleeps 1- 18m² with bath or shower and balcony.
Austrian twin beds are one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated

Obergurgl skiing
Obergurgl is great for beginners and intermediates, which, along with good ski schools, makes for an excellent family ski holiday destination. One of the highest resorts in Austria at 1930m, Obergurgl has an excellent snow record and long season. Linked to Hochgurgl, there are over 100km of runs to enjoy. For more advanced skiers and boarders, there is often some nice off-piste to get that adrenalin pumping...

The resort itself is pleasing to the eye and offers a sense of alpine charm. Off snow activities are a little sparse, although après ski is jovial without being too hectic. Hotels are generally of a high standard, with some excellent facilities and very high end dining if you're staying at the right places!
