Overview

Family-run by the Von Allmen-Cova family since 1895, the Hotel Falken is Wengen's oldest hotel, combining historic charm with a warm Swiss welcome. Set in an elevated position above the village, it enjoys magnificent views across the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the Jungfrau mountains, making it a memorable base for a ski holiday.

Inside, the hotel's rich heritage is beautifully preserved. Elegant lounges are furnished with period pieces, chandeliers and patterned rugs, creating a timeless atmosphere. On selected evenings, live piano music adds to the ambience, attracting both guests and locals, while the cosy bar is the perfect place to unwind over a drink after a day on the slopes.

With ski-in, ski-out access, getting onto the mountain couldn't be easier. Start the day with a generous hot and cold buffet breakfast served with spectacular mountain views, then return in the evening for a delicious four-course dinner – the ideal way to round off another day in the snow.

The Falken enjoys a quiet location, close to the resort amenities, Männlichen cable-car and mountain railway station

Ski back to hotel, conditions permitting, you can ski from the connecting ski path to the beginners area next to Männlichen gondola.

Standard Twin Room -sleep 2-3- twin and extra single bed have a wash basin only (shared bathroom facilities). These rooms can connect to North or South Facing Rooms.

North Facing Twin or Double Room -sleeps 2-3- Twin beds and extra single sofa bed when booked for three, a bath or shower and WC.

South Facing Twin or Double Room -sleeps 2-3- twin or double, extra single sofa bed when booked for three, a bath or shower, WC and balcony.

Single Room -sleeps 1- are available with shower and are either north facing or south facing with balcony.

About Wengen

Wengen sits within the 211km Jungfrau Ski Region, surrounded by iconic peaks including the Eiger and Mönch. With mostly gentle blues and easy reds, it’s perfect for relaxed cruising, while the legendary Lauberhorn piste offers a challenge on the world’s longest downhill World Cup course.
