Dining at Hotel Kreuz & Post is a celebration of Alpine flavour, showcasing the finest locally sourced ingredients from the surrounding Bernese Oberland. The hotel’s culinary philosophy, "from nature to your plate", places local Swiss produce at the heart of every dish – whether it’s mountain cheese, locally sourced meats or seasonal vegetables from nearby farms.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast buffet often featuring regional cheeses, freshly baked breads, local meats, and Swiss dairy products.

When it comes to dinner you can enjoy a four course evening meal with incredible mountain views, seasonal produce and local recipes take centre stage.

If you want to try some traditional Swiss cuisine, the Challi-Stübli is the place to be. The cosy alpine restaurant offers local favourites such as fondue, rösti, and venison stew, and always with ingredients sourced from local producers in the region. This is not part of the half board offering, so you will need to pay locally to dine here.

Grindelwald is ideal for relaxed cruising, with long blue and gentle red runs winding through stunning alpine scenery. Sunny slopes on First and tree-lined pistes around Kleine Scheidegg offer plenty of variety, while the modern Eiger Express gondola and charming cog railway make exploring the mountain easy.

Set beneath towering 3,000m peaks, Grindelwald is a traditional Swiss village filled with timber chalets, family-run hotels and a lively atmosphere. From cosy mountain bars to vibrant après-ski venues, there's something for every mood after a day on the slopes.

The World Snow Festival takes place in Grindelwald each year. Thousands of sculpturers present their creations on this event. It is worth watching them how they make their creations.
