Description

This hotel has a central village location, within walking distance to all amenities and 1km from the ski lifts. Geilolia ski centre is 2km away and is served by the hotel ski bus in the morning and resort run ski bus which stops outside the hotel.

Rooms (2-4 people): Scandinavian twin and double sleeper sofa bed (suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children) with bath or shower and wc, TV, telephone, internet access and hairdryer. Larger rooms are available at a supplement. Single rooms with a shower are available at no supplement.

About Geilo

On the train line from Bergen to Oslo, Geilo is a quiet resort that is best suited to families and cross-country skiers. In fact, 'langlaufers' have hundreds of kilometres of tracks, as Geilo is one of the biggest centres in Norway. For downhill skiers there are 39 runs to chose from most of which cater for beginners and intermediates. There is excellent childcare and instruction and the resort facilities are all within a short distance.

Overall, Geilo is a small resort more geared towards cross-country than downhill skiing. It offers limited pistes, with a quiet and unrushed atmosphere, but not really a place for dedicated skiers.
