One of the first hotels to be opened in San Cassiano, and now one of its most prestigious, the Hotel Diamant offers a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The addition of the new ‘Gran Ega Spa’ completes the list of accommodating facilities providing guests the opportunity to relax whilst enjoying the surroundings of this classic Alpine hotel. All of the rooms have a modern alpine style and many of them come with mountain views. Food is important to the hotel so you can expect some great dishes made with local ingredients. There's over 160 different types of wine in the hotel's cellar too.

Location

In the centre of San Cassiano, 5 minutes’ walk (500m) from the Piz Sorega gondola and ski school meeting point. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus service to the lifts from 8.30-11.30am and 2.30-5pm.

Superior Twin Rooms sleeps 2-3 -extra bed is a double sofa bed- and are around 30m². They have a north-facing balcony, TV, WiFi, minibar, safe, shower, bathrobes and hairdryer.

Clean Air Twin Rooms sleep 2-3 -extra bed is a double sofa bed- and are around 40m². They have a south-facing balcony and have been furnished with 100% natural materials.

Junior Suites- sleeps 2-4 are around 60m². They have a south-facing balcony, lounge, bath, shower and mini infrared sauna. They are available on request, please call to book.

About San Cassiano

San Cassiano is a small, smart village in the Alta Badia ski area, with links onto the Sella Ronda circuit. Its clientele remains quite classy, with well-heeled Italian families the norm. It's a quiet venue with very little in the way of après-ski and nightlife. It's primarily a family resort, although children are not particularly well looked after, a fault shared by a number of Italian ski resorts. San Cassiano has a good sun record, while snow is usually good. It's good value compared to Swiss, Austrian and French resort, but the skiing is generally better for lower abilities. For tougher challenges, more advanced skiers may want to head for Arabba.

Overall, it's a quiet spot – great for accessing lots of good slopes, but, beyond the skiing, there isn't much to do in San Cassiano…
