Overview
If you’re looking for a comfortable, family-friendly base, Hotel Adamello is an easy favourite – and it’s no surprise that many guests return year after year. From the moment you arrive, you’re met with a genuinely warm welcome, often from owners Mike and Betty, who have created a hotel designed to feel like a home from home.
Inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a cosy dining room and thoughtful touches throughout. Families are especially well catered for, with a dedicated playroom located just steps from the bar, featuring soft play for younger children and table tennis for older ones. Handmade décor and personal details add to the hotel’s charming, informal character.
The rooms are bright and cheerful, decorated in bold primary colours, while vintage ski posters lining the corridors add a nostalgic Alpine touch.
Each morning begins with breakfast served alongside beautiful mountain views, and when it’s time to ski, the Valbiolo chairlift is just a short walk away. In the evening, chef Domenico prepares delicious local dishes, giving guests a true taste of regional Italian cuisine.

About Passo Tonale
Passo Tonale is one of Italy's highest resorts and is guaranteed good snow and a long season. It can get a bit nippy, though. The slopes are mainly suitable for beginners and lower intermediates – it's proven itself to be a magnet for young families and school trips. Passo Tonale isn't the prettiest of resorts, although the views are great. Prices are low, the ski school is excellent and there are few queues. There is also access to the Presena glacier for year-round skiing. Nightlife can be lively, but is generally low-key, while there isn't too much to do off the slopes during the day.
Overall, Passo Tonale is a good venue for learners looking for an inexpensive holiday and enough skiing to keep them busy for a week. More advanced skiers might be better off looking elsewhere, although it does close later than most. If you can't make it to the Alps before April, Passo Tonale may well be the best choice for you…
