Overview

Hotel Marielle enjoys an excellent location in Val Thorens, offering true ski-in, ski-out convenience with direct access to the slopes right from the doorstep.

Each morning, guests can step straight onto the snow and make the most of the vast Three Valleys ski area. The ski school meeting point is just moments away via the covered magic carpet lift, while several chairlifts and cable cars are close by, providing quick access to the higher slopes. At the end of the day, many of the runs back into resort finish near the hotel, making it easy to return without a long walk in ski boots.

Away from the slopes, the resort’s bars, restaurants, and activities are all within easy reach. Guests who prefer to relax at the hotel can unwind in the spa facilities or enjoy a drink on the outdoor terrace while taking in the final hours of alpine sunshine. In the evenings, the spacious buffet restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes, offering something for everyone after a day on the mountain.

Twin room - sleeps 1- 2- Twin or double bed, private shower or bath, and WC.

Quad room - sleeps 2-4- Twin or double bed, bunk beds, private shower or bath, and WC.

Family room - sleeps 3-4 - (max 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children up to 14 years): Twin or double bed, bunk beds, private shower or bath, and WC.

Twin room - sleeps 2-3 (max 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child up to 14 years): Twin bed or double bed, single sofa bed, private shower or bath, and WC.

Please note: Children under 6 years of age cannot sleep on the top bunk.

At 2300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe, meaning the resort has a great snow record. Put simply, if there's no snow in Val Thorens then there's no snow anywhere! Forming part of the 600km Three Valleys ski domain, Val Thorens' extended skiing is excellent, with intermediates being particularly spoilt for choice. Advanced skiers also have plenty to play on with big moguls and access to the Maurienne Valley for off-piste adventures. In addition there's an excellent Snowpark to keep freestylers busy. Beginners too can enjoy Val Thorens with several gentle greens and easy blues scattered around the resort. There is no better all-around ski area anywhere in Europe, possibly the World.

As the resort is traffic-free and purpose-built, most accommodation options offer ski-in-ski-out accessibility. As well as being Europe's highest resort and part of the biggest linked ski area, Val Thorens has gained a reputation in recent years as a lively apres ski destination. The arrival of the raucous Folie Douce and the slightly more chilled Bar 360 mean that your apres ski party begins on the slopes in mid-afternoon. Back in resort you've got a choice of several bustling pubs, including Europe's highest in the Frog and Roastbeef. If you're still thirsty for more then the Alps' biggest underground nightclub, Malaysia, stays open almost until first lifts in the morning!

It's not all partying though. Val Thorens has developed many facilties over the years, including an indoor leisure centre with pool, extensive shopping, ice-driving, the list goes on!
