Overview

Lodge des Neiges offers luxury self-catered accommodation with ski-in, ski-out access to the vast Tignes–Val d’Isère ski area, part of the wider Tignes resort.

The apartments have a fresh alpine design, featuring natural wood finishes, bright white interiors, and large windows that maximise mountain views. Each unit also includes a private balcony, ideal for enjoying the scenery.

Guests can relax at the O des Cimes spa, which includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and treatment rooms, along with a separate children’s pool. A cosy communal lounge with an open fireplace and games such as pool provides a relaxed après-ski atmosphere.

Overall, Lodge des Neiges combines high-end self-catering comfort with excellent ski access and strong wellness facilities in the French Alps.

Apartments

All apartments have a kitchenette with electric hob, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, mixer, steamer, multi-function oven, dishwasher and fridge, as well as a satellite TV, telephone and hairdryer. Bed linen, towels, end-of-stay cleaning (except kitchen) are included. Beds are made up on arrival (except sofa beds, but sheets are provided). A mid-week towel change is available.

When you arrive, you’ll need to pay a deposit of approx. €400 in cash or by credit or debit card for each apartment on your booking.

2 bedroom apartment with balcony – sleeps 1-6: Double bedroom, twin bedroom, living area with double sofa bed, private shower or bath, WC and balcony.

3 bedroom apartment with balcony – sleeps 1-8: Double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, living area with double sofa bed, two private bathrooms with shower or bath, WC and balcony.

1 bedroom apartment with balcony – sleeps 1-4: Twin bedroom, living area with double sofa bed, private shower or bath, WC and balcony.

Each apartment also comes with a welcome pack containing still and sparkling water, a sweet treat, coffee pods, tea bags, condiments, and bathroom kit with shower gel, toilet roll and tissues.

Cots are available to hire, free of charge, on request.

Ski school lessons start in Tignes Lac, so you will need to walk 6 minutes to the Residence Kalinda, where the ski school will collect you in a shuttle bus and take you to the nursery slopes, 10 minutes’ drive away

Catering

Offered on a self catered basis, guests will be able to collect provisions from the nearby supermarkets or enjoy sampling the regional and internationally inspired cuisine in one of the many local restaurants.

About Tignes

Tignes skiing

Lift linked to Illustrious neighbour Val d'Isère to make up the ski area formerly known as l'Espace Killy, the Tignes ski area is, needless to say, vast and varied. The 300km of marked pistes cater for all levels and tastes with great off-piste, long wide blues and two snowparks (with another, even better one, over in Val d'Isère). Tignes also has the Grande Motte glacier providing year-round skiing. The glacier and Tignes' high altitude, make this resort for a great early or late season ski holiday destination. The whole area is serviced very well by an efficient lift system and the five villages that make up the resort are all linked by free bus. This is a resort that ticks the boxes for all!

Tignes ski resort

Although not known for its alpine charm, Tignes more than makes up for this as off-snow activities are excellent. There is a nice range of decent restaurants and bars whilst there are supermarkets for the self-catering crowd. Nightlife and après ski is pretty healthy. The legendary Folie Douce is just one lift away, and Cocorico has now expanded into Tignes - this unique apres ski experience takes things to a whole new level. The old favourites like the Loop bar still provide a great atmosphere. High-end dining can be found if you know where to look - the Grizzly in Val Claret does an exquisite BBQ.

The leisure centre has seen significant investment in recent years and provides a superb off-slope distraction for families. The frozen lake makes for idyllic walk and you can even try your hand at ice-diving if you can brave the cold!

In summary, Tignes is a modern, well laid out resort that caters for everyone. If you're after alpine charm then perhaps try Val d'Isere, but for sheer convenience, quality of skiing and snow record, it's hard to beat Tignes.
