Overview
L’Altaviva Apartments offer a piste-side location in Tignes, making it easy to access the slopes and enjoy quick starts to the ski day. The residence combines self-catered convenience with a range of added facilities, including spa access and a kids’ club, making it well suited to families and groups.
Inside, the apartments feature a traditional Alpine design with pine panelling, stone finishes, and a warm mountain feel. Some units also include electric fireplaces for added comfort and atmosphere. Guests can take advantage of a bakery delivery service each morning, while evenings can be spent cooking in the well-equipped kitchenettes or dining at the on-site restaurant with its south-facing terrace.
Facilities include an indoor swimming pool and an adults-only spa with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, alongside children’s clubs and family activities, creating a balanced mix of relaxation and entertainment for all ages.

Apartments
All apartments have a kitchenette with hobs, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker and fridge, as well as limited WiFi, flatscreen TV and hairdryer. Bed linen, beds made on arrival, towels and end-of-stay cleaning (except kitchen) are included.
When you arrive, you’ll need to pay a deposit of approx. €400 by card for each apartment on your booking.

If you’ve booked morning tuition, it’s not possible to get the meeting point using lifts as they don’t open early enough. Instead, the ski school will pick you up from outside the L'Altaviva Apartments in a bus and take you directly to your lesson. The meeting points for lessons may vary depending on the group size.
Childcare
KIDS, JUNIORS, TEENS and ADOS clubs
There are a range of clubs for different ages. Kids and Juniors clubs are for kids aged 4-10 years, and the Teens and Ados clubs are for the oldest ones between 11 and 17 years.
Activities
Kids and Juniors clubs include a weekly themed programme around the mountain. Accompanied by the mascots Frizy and Mô, there’ll be plenty of outdoor action as they get stuck into the ‘Aces of the Mountain’ challenge.
In Teens and Ados clubs older ones have the chance to win prizes in text message competitions and try activities like snowtubing.
Drop-off and pick-up from ski school lessons is included.
SQ@t games room with TV, games consoles and board games is available for Teens and Ados clubs during French school holidays
Childcare options
Extra charge for Kids and Junior clubs. During French school holidays, these clubs are only available to book as half days, with two evening sessions per week. Outside French school holidays, full days are available with two evening sessions per week. These clubs are open all season from Monday to Friday, 9am-12pm and 2-5pm, with two evening sessions from 7.30-9.30pm.
Teens and Ados clubs are only open during French school holidays from Monday to Friday from 5pm, with two evening sessions per week from 7.30-10pm.

About Tignes
Tignes skiing
Lift linked to Illustrious neighbour Val d'Isère to make up the ski area formerly known as l'Espace Killy, the Tignes ski area is, needless to say, vast and varied. The 300km of marked pistes cater for all levels and tastes with great off-piste, long wide blues and two snowparks (with another, even better one, over in Val d'Isère). Tignes also has the Grande Motte glacier providing year-round skiing. The glacier and Tignes' high altitude, make this resort for a great early or late season ski holiday destination. The whole area is serviced very well by an efficient lift system and the five villages that make up the resort are all linked by free bus. This is a resort that ticks the boxes for all!
Tignes ski resort
Although not known for its alpine charm, Tignes more than makes up for this as off-snow activities are excellent. There is a nice range of decent restaurants and bars whilst there are supermarkets for the self-catering crowd. Nightlife and après ski is pretty healthy. The legendary Folie Douce is just one lift away, and Cocorico has now expanded into Tignes - this unique apres ski experience takes things to a whole new level. The old favourites like the Loop bar still provide a great atmosphere. High-end dining can be found if you know where to look - the Grizzly in Val Claret does an exquisite BBQ.
The leisure centre has seen significant investment in recent years and provides a superb off-slope distraction for families. The frozen lake makes for idyllic walk and you can even try your hand at ice-diving if you can brave the cold!
In summary, Tignes is a modern, well laid out resort that caters for everyone. If you're after alpine charm then perhaps try Val d'Isere, but for sheer convenience, quality of skiing and snow record, it's hard to beat Tignes.
