Overview

A grand old traditional hotel, the Richemond is run by the welcoming Sarraz family and has been popular with our guests for many years. Whilst enjoying an unbeatable central location, the hotel is nonetheless quiet, being set back from the main street. Offered on a bed and breakfast basis it's an excellent choice for those wishing to sample some of the many fantastic local restaurants.

Location

The ski areas can be accessed via the local free ski bus, which has a regular service to take you to Brévent, Flégère, Grand Montets and Le Tour to sample the world renowed skiing. Alternatively, there is a train station 100m away, with access to Argentière and the Grands Montets ski area.

Rooms

The spacious twin (A3) or double rooms (B2) have shower, cable TV and telephone.
Rooms (C3) with a bath, balcony and Mont Blanc view, in addition to single rooms (F1), are also available.
Some twin rooms can take an extra bed.

About Chamonix

Chamonix sits at the foot of Mont Blanc and is one of France’s oldest and most prestigious ski resorts, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. While its 150km ski area is relatively small, it offers some of the most challenging terrain in the Alps, making it a top choice for experienced skiers. Highlights include the legendary 20km Vallée Blanche off-piste route and excellent intermediate skiing across areas such as Le Tour, Les Houches and Brévent-Flégère.

The town itself is cosmopolitan and historic, with pedestrian streets lined with Savoyard buildings, Art Deco architecture and specialist ski shops. Après-ski is lively, with plenty of live music venues and cocktail bars.

Chamonix is also a hub for mountain adventures beyond skiing, from ice caves and spas to the iconic Aiguille du Midi. At 3,842m, its viewing platform offers breathtaking views, while the “Step into the Void” glass box provides a thrilling experience suspended above the mountains.
