Set in the iconic Palace of Chamonix, this hotel enjoys a prime location overlooking the town centre, with the Savoy lift just moments away for quick access to the Brévent-Flégère ski area. Beginners can also take advantage of the hotel's convenient shuttle service to ski lessons.

After a day on the slopes, choose between lively après-ski entertainment at the After Mountain Party Bar or a more relaxed atmosphere with cocktails at Bar Janssen. The impressive 640m² spa offers a sauna, steam room and yoga studio, while the outdoor heated pool boasts spectacular views of Mont Blanc. Families are well catered for too, with a dedicated kids' club offering a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Dining is a highlight, with a generous buffet breakfast each morning and a choice of four à la carte restaurants serving everything from traditional French cuisine and Alpine specialities to fine dining and Italian favourites.

The hotel has 250 rooms, 5 floors, 3 buildings and a lift that serves all the floors.
All rooms are non-smoking and have free WiFi, a safe, shower, WC, bed linen, hairdryer and TV with English speaking channels.

The rooms are split between Access room (3*) and Premium rooms (4*), they all have mountain views and access to the spa facilities.

Access rooms

Twin or double room (18m²) - sleeps 1-2: twin or double beds.

Quad rooms (18m²) - sleeps 3-4: Rooms in a 'Dormitory' style with three bunk beds and a pull out sofa bed- suitable for a group of friends.

Premium rooms

Premium rooms have additional luxuries including a telephone, flat screen TV with English speaking channels, tea and coffee facilities, towels, slippers and bathrobes, toiletries, mini bar, hairdryer.

Twin or double room (20m²) - sleeps 1-2: twin or double beds.

Superior Twin rooms (26m²) - sleeps 2-3: twin or double beds, convertible single sofa bed.

Family rooms (28-35m²) - sleeps 3-4: There is a twin or double bed and bunk beds (suitable for children up to 11 years).

Dining at La Folie Douce is an adventure in itself. The lounge restaurant provides a stylish, laid-back atmosphere, ideal for starting your day and enjoying breakfast.

Breakfast is served from 7am - 10am weekdays and 7am - 10.30am on weekends.

Brunch and dinner is served within the hotel (payable and bookable locally).

The Janssen chill-out and cocktail bar serves expertly crafted drinks, between 10am - 1am.

About Chamonix

Chamonix sits at the foot of Mont Blanc and is one of France’s oldest and most prestigious ski resorts, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. While its 150km ski area is relatively small, it offers some of the most challenging terrain in the Alps, making it a top choice for experienced skiers.
