About Sölden
With most of its skiing above 2,000m, Sölden offers excellent snow conditions throughout the season. The resort is packed with long, linked blue and red runs that are perfect for confident cruising, supported by a fast network of modern lifts. A highlight is the Big 3 Rally – a 50km ski circuit taking in panoramic viewpoints from the resort’s three highest peaks, along with Austria’s longest ski run, which stretches from the glacier all the way back down to Sölden.
The village blends traditional Tyrolean character with a lively modern atmosphere. Timber-framed buildings and an historic church sit alongside a bustling centre filled with pubs, clubs and more than 50 restaurants, offering everything from schnitzel to sushi. Après-ski kicks off early at the bars around the Giggijoch gondola before spilling into the main street, where the party continues late into the night. Accommodation ranges from cosy guesthouses to high-end luxury hotels.
Off the slopes, there’s plenty to explore. The Freizeit Arena features pools, slides and wellness facilities, while film fans can visit the 007 Elements exhibition at the Gaislachkogel, which showcases Sölden’s starring role in Spectre.
