With 270km of interconnected slopes on its doorstep, Saalbach is a fantastic base for skiers looking to explore one of Austria's largest ski areas. Nestled in the picturesque Glemm Valley, Saalbach has all the charm of a classic Austrian village. Traditional timber buildings line the streets around the distinctive onion-domed church, while a river winds through the lively pedestrianised centre. Après-ski is a big part of the resort's appeal, with slopeside bars providing the perfect place for a celebratory drink after a day on the mountain.
