Chiesa
Overview
Chiesa has only 25km of runs and is not lift-linked to any other resorts. It's basically a small local mountain that is perfect if you are either a beginner or an early intermediate. There is also one decent black run – the 'Wall'. There are 37km of cross-country trails and a specialist boarders' park and half-pipe. Chiesa does offer a wonderfully sedate Alpine environment in a traditional Italian setting. It has good eating and drinking, but little else off-snow.
Overall, it's a place to learn, with a good snow record and a mountain village off the main trail. Not the ideal place for experts, piste-bashers or party animals…
