Chatel, Portes du Soleil
Châtel is a traditional Portes du Soleil village with great intermediate skiing, beginner-friendly slopes & access to 650km of terrain, plus authentic charm & family activities like airboarding and ice skating
Overview
Châtel is an authentic Savoyarde village offering access to 650km of Portes du Soleil skiing, while its own 130km area is ideal for intermediates. Cruise gentle blues in Super-Châtel or enjoy longer red runs in Linga, with ski schools and beginner slopes available across both sectors. Upgrade your pass to explore further into Avoriaz, Morzine or even into Switzerland.
The village retains its traditional charm, with chalet-style accommodation alongside historic guesthouses and working farms, and it remains good value compared to larger resorts. Off the slopes, activities range from ziplining and paragliding to swimming at the Forme d’O Aquatic Centre and fun descents on inflatable airboards.
