Overview
Steeped in Swiss history, the Hotel Alpenblick sits in the traditional village of Wilderswil, close to Interlaken and within easy reach of the Jungfrau Ski Region. The Stöckli family have been welcoming guests to this charming 400-year-old chalet for more than 60 years, preserving its authentic character with carved wooden balconies, colourful shutters and timeless Alpine charm. The hotel has long been at the heart of village life too – so much so that Olympic and World Cup skier Urs Räber even has a room named in his honour.
Inside, original wooden beams, vintage photographs and carefully chosen antiques create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The traditionally styled bedrooms continue the Alpine feel with wood furnishings and panelling, while modern bathrooms add contemporary comfort. Many areas of the hotel also enjoy impressive views of the iconic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks.
Dining is a highlight of any stay. Begin each day with a generous buffet breakfast in the cosy Unspunnenstube restaurant before returning in the evening for a delicious five-course dinner. For a special occasion, reserve a table at Richard Stöckli's Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant, where seasonal local ingredients take centre stage.
