The hotel is available on a bed and breakfast basis, with the option to upgrade to half board through a unique “dine-around” experience, available for six nights of your stay.
Perfect for food lovers and those keen to explore a variety of local flavours, this experience allows you to enjoy different restaurants throughout the week. On arrival, guests who have opted for half board will receive a gourmet card detailing their dining arrangements.
From Sunday to Wednesday, you’ll dine at a selection of carefully chosen local venues, giving you the opportunity to sample a range of cuisines and atmospheres. Participating restaurants include Restaurant 1903, Osteria Il Balivo, Brasserie du Breithorn, and Pizzeria Il Luppolo e Grano.
On Thursday, enjoy a truly memorable evening at Rifugio Novez, perched high above the resort at over 2,000 metres. You’ll reach the restaurant via gondola followed by a short 10-minute walk—an experience in itself. This excursion is suitable for guests aged five and above.
Friday offers something a little different, with a relaxed tasting experience featuring six cheeses, two cold cuts, a local hot dish, and a selection of three wines. Soft drink alternatives are available for children.
On your final evening, you’re free to dine wherever you wish—perfect for revisiting a favourite spot or trying somewhere new. Advance reservations are recommended, and your in-resort Destination Expert will be happy to assist.
Please note that, unless otherwise stated, drinks are not included. In Italy, it is common for restaurants not to serve tap water during meals, but still and sparkling bottled water are readily available to purchase locally.
About Champoluc
Apart from the first week in January, when half of Turin descends on Champoluc, this resort remains largely uncrowded. It's part of the Monterosa Ski area, in the Aosta Valley, with a combined total of around 200km of runs. Champoluc is a very Italian venue, with good food and après-ski, which revolves primarily around restaurants and bars. It's generally pretty quiet, with top scenery and largely intermediate skiing. There's some decent off-piste for better skiers, but you will have to cover large distances to get at all of the available tougher stuff.
Champoluc makes for an ideal family resort, but one recent visitor complained of less-than-satisfactory childcare. The ski school is good, but the lack of foreign languages spoken by instructors in Italy can be a slight stumbling block. Overall, Champoluc is very much an unspoilt resort, with lots of lift-linked skiing, best suited to intermediates.
