About Cavalese
Cavalese is the main town in the Fiemme Valley, part of Italy’s Dolomites, offering all-ability skiing across a wide and varied ski area. Fast lifts link directly from the village up to Alpe Cermis, while free buses connect you to other nearby peaks. The scenery is outstanding, with plenty of rustic mountain huts for scenic piste-side stops, and excellent kids’ clubs for young skiers.
The town itself is full of Italian alpine charm, with cobbled streets, historic stone buildings and a picturesque bell tower at its centre. It’s a relaxed, sunny base where après-ski is more about terrace drinks and leisurely evenings than late-night partying. Many hotels also offer a good range of family-friendly facilities, from saunas to games rooms.
