Ski Holidays in Cavalese

Cavalese is one of the 11 small resorts that make up the Val di Fiemme ski area. Found by the beautiful Alpe Cermis, Cavalese offers 70km of local slopes, with bus links to a combined total of 150km of runs. The Sella Ronda circuit is also pretty nearby. You'll have to take a cable car up to the mostly easy runs, but there are some breathtaking views along the way. Cavalese is an old medieval village and a quiet place to stay with accommodation and eateries for all budgets. Ideally, it is a great place to tour the region's ski resorts, so having a car is a real advantage. Perhaps its biggest pull is for 'langlaufers', as Cavalese is the Italian centre for cross-country skiing, with 150km of trails. There are plenty of other winter pursuits for non-skiers as well. Overall, Cavalese is a centrally-located resort, great for accessing lots of other areas, with limited local skiing for lower ability skiers.
