Beginners and less confident skiers can build their confidence on the gentle green slopes or head over to Tignes for a wider choice of easy blue runs. With most of the skiing above 2,300m, excellent snow conditions are usually a safe bet throughout the season.

If you'd rather swap après for adventure, there's plenty to choose from, including tubing, fat biking and even ice climbing, where you can tackle a frozen waterfall equipped with crampons and ice axes.
