The Zürsersee chairlift is just a minute’s walk away, so getting onto the mountain couldn’t be easier. At the end of the day, you can ski back to within a few metres of the boot room, making for a seamless start and finish to every day on the slopes.

The hotel embraces classic Alpine charm throughout. At its heart is a cosy lounge filled with comfortable armchairs, where guests can unwind beside the crackling open fire. The adjoining bar is the perfect spot for an après-ski drink, whether you’re enjoying a warming hot chocolate or something a little stronger. Traditional mountain style continues in the wood-panelled dining room, where hearty regional dishes, rich stews, succulent meats and indulgent desserts take centre stage.

For many guests, the wellness area is a real highlight. Wrap yourself in a fluffy robe and relax in the sauna or steam room after a day in the snow. With reliable snow and fast links into the vast Arlberg ski area, Zürs is ideal for skiers looking to rack up the kilometres. Long valley runs wind past dramatic peaks, while cruisy blues offer scenic, relaxed skiing. Powder lovers are also well catered for, with snow-filled bowls and gullies that often stay untracked longer than in neighbouring resorts.

Zürs itself is small and exclusive, with chalet-style buildings along a single main street and a handful of cafés and restaurants. Accommodation is high-end and typically family-run, offering fine dining and spa facilities for a luxury alpine stay. Evenings are quiet and refined, focused on sunset drinks or a relaxed nightcap rather than lively après-ski.

For a change of scene, a free bus ride takes you to nearby Lech, where designer boutiques and upscale ski shops offer a touch of retail therapy alongside the skiing.
