Newly built in 2012 the Alpinhotel Monte has a contemporary design, using all natural materials to create a warm home away from home atmosphere. Owner and chef Harald Niedermeir uses only fresh local quality products to create traditional and regionally inspired cuisine.

Rooms

for 2 people on half board sharing a small room with Austrian twin beds, private shower and WC. Standard rooms sleeping up to 3 people are also available on request at a supplement. All bedrooms have safe, hairdryer, flatscreen TVs and are non smoking.

About Galtür

Galtür is a peaceful, family-focused ski resort with 40km of varied local pistes, ideal for beginners and intermediates. It offers a dedicated nursery area, themed children’s runs, and an excellent ski school, helping newcomers progress from beginner to confident skier. The terrain is mainly gentle blues and easy reds, and more experienced skiers can upgrade to a Silvretta Area Pass to access the larger neighbouring Ischgl ski area.

The village itself is small and traditional, with Tyrolean-style buildings, wooden balconies, and painted frescoes lining a single main street beside a flowing river. Accommodation is limited but high quality, with well-equipped hotels located close to the slopes.

Evenings in Galtür are very quiet, with little in the way of nightlife. The atmosphere is relaxed and hotel-based, often centred around cosy dining rooms, board games, and quiet drinks rather than bars or clubs.
