Overview

Centrally located just opposite the village square, the Hanneshof has been welcoming our guests for years and has an excellent reputation for service and cuisine and great leisure facilities, including the resort's largest indoor pool. The hotel has several annexes with the closest just across the road and the furthest is approximately 5 minutes walk away.

Annexe Austrian twin room -sleeps 2-3- 22m² An extra double sofa bed These rooms have a bath or shower and located in one of the Annexe buildings (up to 5 minutes' walk away from the main hotel building).

Austrian twin room -sleeps 2-3- in the Main Hotel are around 28m². These rooms have a bath, an extra single sofa bed when booked for three and a balcony.

Single room -sleeps 1- in the Main Hotel have a shower, small seating area and balcony. The rooms are around 20m²

About Filzmoos

Surrounded by the Dachstein mountains, Filzmoos is a laid-back resort in the vast Ski Amadé, giving access to around 760km of ski terrain. The village itself offers about 20km of gentle local slopes, mostly wide blues and easy reds that are ideal for beginners and intermediates, with the Papageno runs leading directly back into the centre. More confident skiers can also tackle the challenging Grossberg black run.

The village has a classic postcard feel, with snow-covered trees, traditional chalet-style buildings, and a small town square centred around its church spire. It’s compact and easy to get around on foot, with family-run hotels and cosy restaurants creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Mountain huts serve hearty Austrian dishes, including local favourites like Käsenocken, making dining part of the overall alpine experience.

Beyond skiing, Filzmoos offers plenty of gentle winter activities such as snowy forest walks, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and tobogganing. In January, International Balloon Week adds a striking visual highlight, with hot-air balloons floating over the mountains in a unique winter spectacle.
