Overview
The family-run Hotel Bischofsmütze is full of classic Alpine character, with warm wooden beams, cosy interiors and traditional pops of red throughout. Ideally located in the centre of Filzmoos, it’s just a minute’s stroll from both the Papageno Gondola and the village centre, making it a convenient base for ski days. Beginners are especially well catered for, with the nursery slopes and ski school meeting point only a four-minute walk away.
After time on the mountain, there are plenty of ways to relax and unwind. Guests can enjoy a swim in the indoor pool, make use of the spa facilities, or enjoy a friendly game of table football. For a more relaxed pace, the lounge and bar provide a comfortable setting for a drink, while younger guests can make use of the dedicated play area to burn off energy.
Dining is a highlight of the stay. Each morning begins with a generous buffet breakfast to set you up for the day. After skiing, freshly baked sweet treats are served for a well-earned afternoon boost. In the evening, a three-course dinner awaits, starting with a help-yourself buffet of starters, salads and soups, followed by a choice of mains and a dessert and cheese selection to finish.

About Filzmoos
A small village in the Sportwelt Amadé region (access to 860km of piste, 270 lifts and 25 resorts), Filzmoos dates back to Edwardian times, when it was a popular destination with the wealthy crowd from Vienna.
Its ski area is shared with neighbouring Neuberg and covers 32km reached by 17 lifts. It's a friendly and unspoilt spot and its gentle slopes are ideal for novices. The highest skiing is at 1,645m, which drops down to the resort level of 1,060m. Set at the foot of the Bischofsmütze mountain, the area has a good record for snowfall. There is no through-traffic and the après-ski comes highly recommended. For cross-country skiers, there are 30km of picturesque trails.
