Overview

Located on Fügen’s homerun, it’s ski-in, ski-out and right next door to the Spieljochbahn I gondola – so getting onto the hill is easy peasy.

The hotel is elegantly decorated in neutral tones, and there’s a big focus on natural materials too. Pops of red and pictures of the surrounding Zillertal valley give the hotel that alpine feel, and warm, low lighting amps up the cosy factor. And the huge spa’s a real highlight – take a post-ski dip in the outdoor pool with a view of the slopes, or turn up the heat in the sauna and steam room.

In the mornings, tuck into a tasty buffet with everything from fresh bread to fruit, and sausages to muesli on the menu. There’s afternoon tea, cakes and snacks to tide you over until dinner, and in the evenings, you’ll get a choice of 4-course set menus.

About Fügen

Fügen is a relaxed, family-friendly base with easy access to scenic, beginner-friendly skiing. Wide summit slopes and tree-lined valley runs make it ideal for laid-back cruising, with a dedicated fun slope for children and generally uncrowded pistes. The local terrain is centred around the Onkeljoch peak, reached by a gondola on the edge of the village, while a free bus links you to the larger ski areas of Hochfügen and Kaltenbach for more varied terrain.

Set in the Zillertal, the village itself is quiet and traditional, with family-run hotels and guesthouses giving it a welcoming feel. There’s very little nightlife, so evenings tend to be calm and centred around hotel dining, spa facilities, and a relaxed nightcap rather than lively après-ski.

For off-slope activities, the Erlebnistherme Zillertal is a major highlight, combining waterslides and splash areas for families with saunas and wellness spaces for adults, making it a popular all-weather option.
