Overview

Chalet Joly is situated in the snow sure area of Plagne Village (2050 metres) and is ideally located for ski convenience as the Telebus Lift which takes you directly to Plagne Centre is just across the road. Built in a traditional style but with modern décor, Chalet Joly has a pleasant open-plan lounge/dining area with alpine furnishings, opening onto a sun-trap balcony which benefits from excellent views of the pistes and surrounding area.

Location

Situated in the snow sure area of Plagne Village (2050 metres), Chalet Joly is ideal for ski convenience as just across the road is the Telebus Lift taking you directly to Plagne Centre. Alternatively, it is possible to ski from just below the chalet to the Bergeres or Melezes Chairlifts. Just opposite the chalet are restaurants, shops and a bar. The main nightlife of Plagne Centre is easily accessed via the Telebus or the free bus service.

About La Plagne

La Plagne is a superb choice for families and anyone looking to build confidence on the slopes, with access to 425km of varied skiing in the Paradiski area. Beginners can progress from gentle nursery slopes to wide, scenic blue runs, including those from Grande Rochette back to Plagne Centre. More experienced skiers can enjoy longer reds towards Champagny-en-Vanoise, while those wanting to explore further can take the double-decker cable car over to Les Arcs for even more terrain.

The resort is made up of several linked villages, each with its own character. Plagne Centre is the original hub, while Plagne Soleil is the newest. Belle Plagne and Plagne 1800 are among the prettiest options, Plagne Villages sits right in the heart of the ski area, and Plagne Aime 2000 offers a quieter, family-friendly base. All villages provide a mix of accommodation, restaurants and easy access to the pistes.

Off the slopes, La Plagne offers plenty of unique experiences. You can race down France’s only Olympic bobsleigh track, take a ziplining adventure across the mountains, or visit the Bellecôte glacier’s ice grotto filled with intricate sculptures carved from snow and ice. For a more relaxed alternative with the same access to the Paradiski area, the nearby village of Montalbert offers a smaller, laid-back atmosphere while still connecting directly into the ski network.
