Overview
Chalet Casa Rivas has a wonderfully authentic feel, with natural materials, traditional details and a warm, lived-in atmosphere throughout. Set in a quiet yet central location, the chalet offers the best of both worlds, providing a peaceful base while keeping the resort’s amenities and mountain activities conveniently close at hand.
The open-plan living space is warm and inviting, centred around large comfortable sofas, a rich wooden ceiling and a decorative stone fireplace that creates a cosy focal point. All five bedrooms are en-suite, including a spacious master bedroom and a flexible twin room with mezzanine, making the chalet well suited to families and groups travelling together.
After a day on the slopes, spa baths in every bathroom provide a relaxing way to unwind, while the dedicated ski room with heated boot warmers ensures equipment is ready for the following morning. Outside, a sunny terrace offers a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings, while WiFi is available throughout the chalet, although the signal can be more limited on the upper floor.

About Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère is one of Europe's top ski resorts for intermediate and advanced skiers. Shared with neighbouring Tignes, the 300km ski area is packed with long blue and red runs, challenging mogul fields and extensive off-piste terrain where experienced skiers can put their skills to the test. Beginners and less confident skiers can build their confidence on the gentle green slopes or head over to Tignes for a wider choice of easy blue runs. With most of the skiing above 2,300m, excellent snow conditions are usually a safe bet throughout the season.
The resort has a well-earned reputation for style and sophistication, with accommodation ranging from charming traditional hotels and apartments to luxurious four and five-star properties complete with premium facilities. The dining scene is just as impressive, offering everything from hearty Savoyard specialities and gourmet cuisine to relaxed cafés serving all-day breakfasts. Food lovers shouldn't miss the Michelin-starred La Table de l'Ours for an unforgettable dining experience.
When the lifts close, Val d'Isère's lively après-ski scene comes to life. Start the celebrations at La Folie Douce with live music and energetic performances before heading to Cocorico at the foot of the slopes. Round off the evening with DJs and dancing at Petit Danois. If you'd rather swap après for adventure, there's plenty to choose from, including tubing, fat biking and even ice climbing, where you can tackle a frozen waterfall equipped with crampons and ice axes.
