Wilmot Mountain

Just a 60-minute drive north of Chicago, Wilmot can be easily reached via the highway. With 60% of the terrain graded for beginners and intermediates, there's still plenty left for the experts. Its 120 acres of terrain includes 25 marked trails, with a vertical drop of 230ft. The longest run is 762m (2,500ft) and all pistes can be covered with artificial snow, if required. Night-skiing is available and there's a small but adequate selection of shops, rental equipment and restaurants. The closest airport is O'Hare, which is an hour south-east.
