Waterville Valley
Overview
Waterville Valley is the resort the Kennedy clan traditionally used to ski (there's even a run called Bobby's). At just over 4,000ft, Mount Tecumseh has a 2,020ft vertical drop and 52 trails. The valley has hosted 13 World Cup events, including the World Cup Finals in 1991. The 11 lifts include a high-speed quad, which goes at such high speed it dashes to the mountaintop in just seven minutes. Other improvements include 100% snow-making (you can't improve much on that) on all 255 acres of terrain. The New Hampshire resort has also recently expanded its tree-skiing terrain. It has four terrain parks, open to both riders and skiers, but beware – skiers are banned from the 'Wicked Ditch of the East' half-pipe.
