Isaberg

Southern Sweden has no real mountain ranges, so the skiing takes place on hills rather than high peaks. If you include the resort's network of cross-county trails, the traditional village of Isaberg is southern Sweden's largest ski area, although the downhill terrain is quite limited. The resort, 70km south of the city of Jönköping, has six lifts and seven runs (Slalom Hill, Mid Run, Family Hill, Valley Hill, Little Hill, Old Hill and North Hill), all of which remain open after dark for floodlit skiing. There's snowmaking on all of them. This winter, the ski school is introducing a special run restricted to beginners taking lessons.
