Overview

Folgaria is one of Italy’s oldest ski resorts, dating back to the 1930s, and remains a great choice for first-timers and families. It offers large nursery areas, wide wooded slopes and cosy mountain restaurants perfect for warming hot chocolate stops, along with more affordable lift passes than many bigger European resorts.

The town is made up of small, family-run hotels, cafés and bars, creating a relaxed atmosphere ideal for leisurely lunches and post-ski aperitifs. With influences from historic Bavarian settlers, it has a distinctive cultural mix, where a local dialect is still spoken and dishes like strudel sit alongside classic Italian cuisine.

Beyond skiing, you can try fat biking on the snow or take on a fun round of disc golf, offering a different way to enjoy the winter landscape.
