Jasper
A wonderful place to experience Canadian mountain life & scenery, with plenty of great skiing
Overview
Set within the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jasper is a picturesque mountain town with a relaxed atmosphere and spectacular scenery. Just a short bus ride away, Marmot Basin offers quiet slopes, gentle tree-lined cruisers and steeper runs for more experienced skiers.
The town is full of rustic charm, with snow-covered streets, around 40 restaurants and a handful of welcoming bars with live music. Keep an eye out for elk and deer, which are often spotted wandering through town.
Off the slopes, you can try everything from ice climbing and snow biking to stargazing at the Planetarium in Jasper Park Lodge.
