Heralded to be 'Ontario's Largest Mountain Resort', Blue Mountain has been recently remodelled by Intrawest to provide an impressive array of winter activities for the whole family. Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities will be challenged by 'Blue's' 12 lifts and 34 trails of varying difficulty. Professional instruction is available for skiers and boarders of all levels. Blue Mountain Inn's après-ski facilities include a spa,
fitness centre, indoor tennis courts, family games and live entertainment at Jozo's Bar. Situated only 11km (7 miles) from the town of Collingwood, there are plenty of restaurants and outside entertainment to make a week-long trip worthwhile. Although there is not much in the way of shopping in the area, the Blue Mountain Pro-shop competently looks after all equipment needs.
On the whole, Blue is an impressive resort in many respects and its proximity to Toronto (one-and-a-half hour drive) makes it an attractive winter vacation spot for active families.
