Waidring
Overview
Waidring is a charming Tyrolean village, less than 20km from the large busy town of St Johann in Tirol. Popular with families, there are convenient nursery slopes in the centre, while the rest of the skiing, mostly suitable for beginners and intermediates, is at Steinplatte, 4km away. The main hotel is the Waidringerhof, which has its own pool, but the Hotel Tiroler Adler is convenient and the Hotel Grafenwirt is discreetly upmarket. The après-ski is informal with the Schniedermann Bar and the Alte Schmiede both busy venues.
