Pettneu am Arlberg
Overview
Pettneu is found only 10 minutes from St Anton, with its own small ski area (15km). It is less expensive than its illustrious neighbour, very attractive and the snow is usually reliable. If you have come to ski, you will probably need a car, as the buses are infrequent. It may be best to invest in the 'Arlberg' lift pass, which gives you access to St Anton, Lech and Zurs, for a total of 260km of runs.
Overall, Pettneu is a small, secluded spot from which to utilise the skiing at better known areas in the region.
