Maria Alm
Overview
Not far from Zell am Zee, in the Hochkönig-Skischaukel area, Maria Alm is one of the prettiest villages in Austria and has won awards for its good looks. Its church is famous, too – it has the second highest spire in Salzburgerland. Maria Alm is part of a little-known but quite idyllic circuit of resorts – taking in Saalfelden, Hinterthal, Hintermoos, Dienten and Mühlbach – all of which can be skied on the same lift pass as part of the Ski amadé ski region which has access to 860km of piste, 270 lifts and 25 resorts.
The network of attractive tree-lined pistes provides pleasant skiing for intermediates who enjoy skiing from resort to resort.
The family region surrounding the Hochkönig, nestled in the SalzburgerLand in the heart of Austria, is going to spoil you with genuine hospitality and recreational opportunities beyond compare. Whether you are hiking in one of the most beautiful Alpine regions in all of Europe, or are spending your winter vacation in the Ski amadé ski region – summer or winter, you are in for a dream vacation!
