Going am Wilden Kaiser, SkiWelt Area
Overview
Going is at the far end of a large collection of villages and hamlets that form the 250km Ski Welt circuit, which reaches (but is not linked with) Westendorf at the other end. This extensive tour – quite an adventure for early intermediates – is attempted routinely by skiers from Söll, the hub of Austria's largest linked ski and snowboard area. Although there are some steepish sections, the circuit is almost exclusively easy cruising, above and below the treeline on lowish mountains. It is ideal for skiers who enjoy drifting from village to village. Altogether, you can ski a total of 11 villages – although not quite all are linked.
