Brand-Nagelberg

Brand used to be a very popular resort 30 years ago, attracting large crowds from Switzerland and Germany. This isn't so true these days, but it still maintains its year-round allure for some. In terms of the skiing, it has only 36km of pistes, which cater best to beginners and average intermediates. There aren't many challenges for better skiers. The runs are well-linked and kept in good condition if there is sufficient snow, while there are some attractive tree runs back down to the village. You can also get a bus to the even smaller Bursererg. One of Brand's biggest pulls is its good value, combined with its learner pistes. Après-ski is traditionally Austrian.
