Mount Hotham
Overview
At 1845m, Mount Hotham is the highest ski area in Victoria and all the skiing is below the resort. The best trails are in the Heavenly Valley region. Recently constructed lifts above Swindler Valley – once a favourite area for back-country skiers to hike to – doubled the resort's lift-served ski area and opened up new off-piste opportunities around Mary's Slide, the Chute and Gotcha. Good nursery slopes are served by the Summit quad-chair and T-bar, plus the Big D quad at Mount Higginbotham. The 13 lifts include the recently installed Drift T-bar. Mount Hotham and Falls Creek share a lift ticket and are linked by a helicopter service.
