Overview
Guests at the Hotel Alpen Suite will feel comfortable and familiar in any of the cosy suites decorated with tapestries, pine furniture, thick carpets and antique ornaments. Each suite has a living room, bedroom with king-size bed, wardrobe and large bathroom.
After a tough day exploring the vast slopes of the Superskirama, rejuvenate with a dip in the pool, complete with an integrated hot tub. There’s also a sauna, Turkish bath and an ice fountain. Relaxing massages and treatments are also available to book at the hotel’s Alpen Beauty spa.
Homemade specialities are served in the hotel restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Traditional dishes are served in the Restaurant Alpen Suite, quick snacks are available in The Bistro or opt for Il Convivio for the renowned mountain gastronomy and fine dining experience that the hotel is known for. A delicious, large and varied breakfast buffet is offered to all guests, including croissants, cold meats, cheeses, cereals and hot items from the menu. Dinner (optional half board) is served a la carte each evening which enables guests to choose from the many seasonal dishes lovingly prepared by the team of chefs.
Hotel Alpen Suite is in the heart of Madonna di Campiglio, just 400m from the Piazza Righi in the centre of the village. A short 350m walk will get you to the Cinque Laghi cable car, and up onto the slopes of the 3Tre where the Ski World Cup takes place, and then beyond into the 380km of the vast Superskirama ski area.

About Madonna di Campiglio
Madonna is up there with Cortina as one of Italy's most exclusive ski resorts. This is another venue where posing can be more important than skiing. It's also where the young crowd come to promenade, party and, occasionally, ski. It's a shame more skiing and boarding isn't done, because the 90km of pistes offer good stuff for all, particularly beginners and intermediates. Experts will find a few testing black runs and some off-piste. Boarders come here in hordes, which is partly to do with the nightlife. The snow is usually fine, piste maintenance is first-class, as are the lifts, which keep queues to a minimum. More skiing is only a bus ride away, at Folgarida.
Most visitors come back time and again for the general ambience of the place. Madonna is a well-planned, modern 'traditional' resort, with great scenery to match. There are posh hotels, excellent restaurants and hectic nightlife. These tend to cost a bit more than peanuts, so bring your credit card. Oh yes - don't forget your mobile phone, either. In Madonna everyone seems to have one. If you like to be part of the in-crowd, this is one of the best possible choices, but be sure to bring your glad rags. The skiing is decent and should be exploited, but please remember it's not cool to be on the slopes before 11am…
