Overview

CGH Résidence Les Chalets de Flambeau enjoys an excellent slopeside location in the Plan des Champs area of Val Cenis, with direct access to the ski area of the French Alps.

The residence is made up of chalet-style apartment buildings with wooden balconies that blend into the alpine surroundings. Inside, a modern reception space with a fireplace and comfortable seating sets the tone, while the apartments are spacious, airy, and well equipped for a self-catered mountain stay.

Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a children’s pool, sauna, steam room, and wellness treatments such as massages. Guests can also enjoy additional entertainment like pool and table football, making it a good option for families.

Each apartment has a kitchenette for easy self-catering, with a supermarket within walking distance and nearby bars and restaurants for dining out. A free shuttle bus also connects guests to nearby villages along the valley.

Rooms

All apartments have a kitchenette with electric hob, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, mixer, steamer, multi-function oven, dishwasher and fridge, as well as a satellite TV, telephone and hairdryer. Bed linen, towels, end-of-stay cleaning (except kitchen) are included. Beds are made up on arrival (except sofa beds, but sheets are provided). A mid-week towel change is available.

When you arrive, you’ll need to pay a deposit of approx. €400 by credit or debit card for each apartment on your booking.

1 bedroom apartment (approx. 35-45m²) – sleeps 1-4: Twin bedroom, double sofa bed in living room, private shower or bath, WC and balcony. Some of these apartments are duplex.

2 bedroom apartment (approx. 50-65m²) – sleeps 1-6: Double bedroom, twin bedroom, double sofa bed in living room, private bath, shower, WC and balcony. Some of these apartments are duplex.

3 bedroom apartment (approx. 70-75m²) – sleeps 1-8: Two twin bedrooms, double bedroom, double sofa bed in living room, private bath, shower, WC and balcony. Some of these apartments are duplex.

Cots are available to hire, free of charge, on request.

Please note: Your apartment will be in one of 8 buildings. If you are not in the main reception building, there's a short walk outside of up to approx. 4 minutes to get to the wellness area and shared facilities.

Please note: The O des Cimes spa, gym, lounge, games area and kids’ play area are all located in the main reception building. If you are staying in one of the other buildings, there is a walk of up to 2 minutes outdoors to get to the main building.

Catering

Offered on a self catered basis, guests will be able to collect provisions from the nearby supermarkets or enjoy sampling the regional and internationally inspired cuisine in one of the many local restaurants.

About Val Cenis

Tucked away in the lesser-known Maurienne valley, just a snowball’s throw from the Italian border, Val Cenis brings together a trio of traditional villages. It also boasts an excellent snow record thanks to its end-of-valley setting, where localised weather fronts often deliver extra snowfall. Add purpose-built, slope-side accommodation and you’ve got the best of all worlds – French charm, convenience and a sizeable ski area.

Once you click into your skis, there’s plenty to explore across 125km of north-facing pistes. High-altitude runs start up at 2,000m, with wide, confidence-boosting slopes perfect for cruising in style. As you go, you’ll catch sweeping views towards Italy to the south and over the Vanoise National Park to the north. And don’t miss the resort’s famous Escargot run – the longest green piste in Europe – which begins at Lac du Mont Cenis and winds all the way down to Lanslebourg.

Back in the villages, you’ll find a classic alpine look: chalet-style buildings clustered around the church, all wrapped in a warm, family-friendly feel. Across the resort there are over 40 bars and restaurants, ideal for laid-back evenings tucking into Savoyard favourites like fondue and raclette while toasting the day’s ski successes. And with most hotels and apartments set right at the foot of the slopes, you’ll be stepping out and skiing off again each morning in no time.
