Overview

Hotel Serre Palas is a quaint family run hotel, situated in the Deux Alpes village centre. The hotel has picturesque mountain views and rooms are comfortable with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel boasts easy access to the ski lifts and close by to a variety of local restaurants, bars and shops. Start the day off with a hearty continental breakfast and relax after skiing with a drink at the bar or read a book by the open fireplace. The restaurant is located opposite the hotel.

It's 3 minutes' walk to the nearest ski lift (Diable chairlift) and you can ski back to this point.
It's another 4 or 5 minutes' walk on to the ski school meeting place and the Jandri Express lift, the ice rink and resort swimming pool.

All rooms have twin or double beds (please specify preference when booking), bath with shower head attachment or shower room, WC, cable / satellite TV with English speaking channels, bed linen, WiFi, safety deposit box, hair dryer (on request from reception), radio, telephone, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities and mountain views.

Standard Twin Room- sleeps 2 people.

Standard Triple Room sleep 2 - 3 people with additional single bed.

Superior Quad Rooms (C4) sleep 2 - 4 people with additional sofa bed and south-facing balcony.

Bed and breakfast with optional upgrade to half board:
Continental buffet breakfast with additional hot options.
4 course evening dinner (aperitif, starter, main, dessert and coffee).
The optional evening meal is served in Restaurant L'Original for five evenings and the new Diablo Pub for two evenings, both are a short 50m walk away from the hotel.
Special dietary requirements, including vegetarian and gluten free, are available on request.

About Les Deux Alpes

Les Deux Alpes skiing

Les Deux Alpes is a very popular resort with the Brits. It boasts the largest glacier in Europe (at 3568m)allowing for year round skiing. The biggest attraction for boarders and freestyle skiers, and those that like a bit of pro spotting, is the world class snowpark found at the Jandri mid-station during the winter, and up on the glacier during the summer. Beginners and intermediates are well catered for with some nice motorway pistes. Advanced skiers should head to the La Fee area for testing black runs and to nearby La Grave for some of the best off-piste around.

Anywhere with its own 200km ski area should be on the serious skier's to-do list.

Les Deux Alpes ski resort

The resort itself is quite large and spread out, it does have a very good range of shops and restaurants, plus varied and lively apres ski & nightlife. For non skiers, the hamlet of Venosc with its craft shops and cute eateries is walkable when there's not too much snow, or can be reached by cable car. Childcare is very good, so families are welcomed.

Overall, a lively resort and very popular with the young freestyle crowd and their followers, with La Grave and the glacier particular pluses and Grenoble Airport only 90 minutes away. A great resort if you're on a budget, but with some popular high end choices too. You're guaranteed a fun time in Deux Alpes!
