Amethyste 1 & 2 share the same entrance and ski deposit but are otherwise quite separate ski chalets situated in an excellent position for piste and village access.

Description

Contained within one larger chalet, Amethyste 1 and 2 share the same entrance and ski deposit but are otherwise quite separate chalets There is the flexibility to use both chalets to accommodate a larger ski group of 20 guests wanting a catered ski chalet in La Tania. The two separate lounges allow for differing requirements within the group: some may wish to have a quieter time or to watch a DVD while others may prefer chat about their day around the fire.

Chalet Amethyste 2 is a comfortable pinewood chalet on the first and second floors of the building. It enjoys a spacious lounge with a classic wood finish and seating for everybody with a centrally positioned fireplace. The lounge leads through to the open plan dining area and beyond to the South and West facing sun terrace. All the bedrooms in chalet Amethyste are pine-finished, all with full en-suite facilities, bright, fully tiled bathrooms and heated towel rails. Some rooms have private balconies. Electric boot warmers are free wi-fi access are provided.

Location: Chalet Amethyste is situated in an excellent position for both piste and village access, away from the road up two flights of stairs from the lane that leads around the chalets. The pedestrianised village and amenities are just over 5 minutes walk away and you can ski from just 150m away from the chalet.

About La Tania

A good-value resort in the Three Valleys, La Tania is a quiet, beginner-friendly base with ski-in, ski-out access on gentle green runs. It’s an ideal spot for those building confidence, with easy access onto the slopes straight from your accommodation. From the village, a gondola quickly links you into the wider Three Valleys ski area, opening up miles of varied terrain in Courchevel, Méribel and even Val Thorens for more challenging skiing.

The centre of La Tania is compact but well equipped, with a handful of restaurants and bars alongside a deli, bakery and supermarket, making self-catering stays simple and convenient. The atmosphere is relaxed and low-key, with everything within easy walking distance.

Once the lifts close, there are still plenty of ways to spend the evening. You can switch skis for skates at the indoor ice rink, head to the bowling alley for some friendly competition, or enjoy a quieter night with food and drinks in one of the local bars. For a livelier end to the day, some venues also offer live music and a sociable après-ski scene.
