About La Rosière 1850
La Rosière shares 155km of slopes with La Thuile in Italy, forming the Espace San Bernardo ski area, which is particularly well suited to beginners and improvers. Start on the green runs close to the resort, where free lifts make learning easy, before progressing onto wide, confidence-building blue pistes that cover much of the mountain. More experienced skiers can cross the border into Italy via scenic red runs, combining varied skiing with the chance to enjoy authentic pizza or pasta in La Thuile.
The resort has a distinctive feel, built from local stone and slate, and is split between the main town of La Rosière and the quieter village of Les Eucherts, around 1km away. It’s a calm, family-friendly base where evenings tend to be relaxed, whether that means games in your accommodation or dining out in one of the well-regarded local restaurants, known for dishes featuring regional specialities like Beaufort cheese.
Beyond skiing, La Rosière offers plenty of fun and unusual mountain activities. Try Snake Gliss, a chain of linked sledges that snake down the slopes, or test your balance on a paret, a traditional single-runner sledge. For something more fast-paced, the X-Treme Luge provides a 700m mountain coaster ride through the snowy forest, adding an extra thrill to your time in the resort.
