Overview
La Perle d’Alba makes getting onto the slopes refreshingly easy, with ski-in, ski-out access and the Alpauris chairlift less than a minute away. The nursery slopes, ski school and Bergers district centre are also close by, while the indoor pool and spa offer an easy way to unwind once you’ve finished skiing.
Inside, the apartments have a fresh, modern feel, with light wood, soft cream and grey tones, and touches of muted mustard. Well-equipped kitchens and comfortable living spaces make self-catering straightforward, while most apartments also have a balcony or terrace for taking in the mountain views.
When you don’t fancy cooking, the nearby centre has plenty of restaurants to choose from. With the supermarket just down the road too, La Perle d’Alba is a handy option for a relaxed, low-fuss ski break.

About Alpe d'Huez
Alpe d’Huez is a high-altitude, south-facing resort famous for its reliable snow and exceptional sunshine, earning it the nickname the “Island in the Sun” with over 300 bluebird days each year. Its 250km ski area is highly varied, offering beginner-friendly learning zones and well-linked easy runs, long scenic blues around the main bowl, and more challenging terrain higher up on the glacier, including the legendary 16km Sarenne – the world’s longest black run.
The resort is spread across several distinct areas, each with its own character. The lively centre is home to bars and nightlife, including quirky spots like Freeride Café, while Bergers offers a quieter, more laid-back atmosphere. Vieil Alpe provides a traditional alpine feel with its stone buildings and village charm. Après-ski is a big part of the experience, with mountain venues such as La Folie Douce delivering energetic parties straight off the slopes.
Accommodation is equally diverse, ranging from self-catered apartments to large hotels with extensive facilities, making it suitable for all types of traveller. For off-slope activities, the alpine coaster offers a thrilling descent with twists, turns and optional VR goggles for an immersive mountain experience.
