Description
Located in the Upper Village, the Four Seasons is by far Whistler’s most luxurious property offering incredible service in a warm and welcoming environment. It is a 5 minute walk (approx.) to the base at Blackcomb Mountain and a 10-15 minute (approx.) walk to the main Village. The hotel provides a regular free shuttle service to anywhere in Whistler. There is no doubt that a stay at the Four Seasons is an experience in itself, offering the best quality and service Whistler has to offer.
Guest facilities include: heated outdoor pool, whirlpool, fitness room, Spa (treatment rooms, massage rooms, Vichy shower room, steam rooms); children’s activity programme and facilities; ski concierge service at the base of Blackcomb Mountain (clients can leave their ski and snowboard equipment overnight). New for winter 11-12 is the steakhouse Sidecut; just recently opened and has already been named one of Canada’s Top ten restaurants by ‘Where’ magazine. The fantastic Fifty Two 80 Bistro, a more casual dining experience, is the perfect choice for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner with fresh daily seafood on offer.
The 273 guest rooms, suites and townhouses are generously sized and beautifully furnished, combining a luxury mountain residence with traditional wood interiors and gas burning fireplaces. All rooms have TV, CD player, DVD player, dual line telephone, refrigerated private bar, tea and coffee maker, bathrobes, WiFi and a balcony. Each room has a view of the mountains, forest, valley, pool or courtyard.
About Whistler
Whistler skiing
With over 8100 acres of skiable terrain, Whistler-Blackcomb is the largest ski area in North America, served by one of the most advanced high speed lift systems. There is plenty of skiing for all abilities on both mountains. The peak of Whistler mountain is a particularly good playground for more advanced skiers with great off-piste, couloirs and powder bowls. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders are spoilt with two parks in Whistler and another 3 in Blackcomb (all at varying levels) along with a superpipe and boarder cross. The lift system is about as efficient as anywhere on the planet, but queues can build up in high season and at weekends. There is also great heli-skiing.
Whistler ski resort
Found only two hours from Vancouver, Whistler is a massively popular destination for Europeans, Japanese and Australians, who give it an international flavour. The centre of Whistler is pedestrianised, which along with excellent ski schools and child care makes Whistler a great family ski holiday destination. Accommodation, restaurants and après ski are also pretty damn good.
